Frequently asked

How many jobs is Siemens hiring for in India in 2026?

Siemens posted 1,461 active India roles in data read from company career pages between 27 April and 4 June 2026 — second only to Cognizant (1,705) and ahead of Wipro (998) and Accenture (962).

What kind of roles does Siemens hire for in India?

A genuinely mixed set: Manufacturing (302 roles), IT & Infrastructure (295), Software Engineering (247) and Sales & Marketing (176). IT, infrastructure and software combined are larger than manufacturing — it is not a pure-tech or pure-manufacturing employer.

Which cities does Siemens hire in across India?

Bengaluru (410 roles), Pune (213), Gurugram (187) and Thane (157), plus Goa, Mumbai and Aurangabad. Siemens is more spread across cities than a typical software firm, which widens non-metro options.

What skills help you get hired at Siemens India?

The bridge that pays is industrial software — anything connecting a physical process to a digital system: PLC, SCADA, MES, digital-twin and IoT platforms.

We pulled more than 35,000 active India roles from company career pages between 27 April and 4 June 2026, and one name near the top of the employer list is neither a bank nor an IT-services giant. Siemens posted 1,461 active roles — more than Wipro (998) and more than Accenture (962). Cognizant leads the slice at 1,705, so Siemens is not number one. But an industrial engineering group out-hiring two-thirds of the Indian outsourcing trio is the signal most "where is hiring" coverage misses.

TL;DR

  • Siemens has 1,461 active roles, second only to Cognizant (1,705) and ahead of Wipro and Accenture.
  • It is spread across cities: Bengaluru 410, Pune 213, Gurugram 187, Thane 157, plus Goa, Mumbai and Aurangabad.
  • The role mix is genuinely mixed: Manufacturing 302, IT & Infrastructure 295, Software Engineering 247, Sales & Marketing 176.
  • Roughly a fifth of the batch is manufacturing and another fifth enterprise IT — this is not a pure-tech employer.

Most feeds run the line that India hiring is led by IT services and banks. Broadly true — but Siemens slots in at number two, which means an engineering employer is competing for the same candidates as the outsourcing majors, across a wider range of skills.

The practical read: stop treating "Siemens" as one job. Manufacturing is its single largest domain, but IT, infrastructure and software combined are larger still. A controls engineer, a backend developer, an enterprise-IT specialist and a supply-chain analyst are all looking at the same employer — and Siemens is more spread across cities than a typical software firm, so a non-metro posting genuinely widens your options. The bridge that pays is industrial software: anything connecting a physical process to a digital system, from PLC and SCADA to MES, digital-twin and IoT platforms. Pick the lane your CV actually fits before you apply.

For the wider picture, read one in four India roles is in Bengaluru and why banks out-hire big tech.
